ABOUT US

Newfoundland's West Coast Con (NLWCC) was founded by Carson Smith in 2008 in hopes of bringing science fiction conventions to Western Newfoundland.

Carson's vision for the Newfoundland West Coast Con was a little more than science fiction.  He wanted to incorporate a variety of genres such as horror, anime, fantasy and adventure - hoping to expand the potential of this great conference.

With fellow committee members Erica Park, Craig Hiscock and Sheldon Parsons, the NLWCC successfully held its first conference in October 2009.

After a succesful innagural Newfoundland West Coast Con, the group put their noses to the grindstone once again and just completed their second convention in October 2010.

For more information on the committee members, you can check out their bios below.

As 2012 quickly approaches, plans are underway to host a bigger and better Newfoundland West Coast Con planned for the Summer of 2012.

We've added more committee members, have more things planned and are actively seeking people to help out with this great event for the Corner Brook area.
